Sherwood Forest Estates
(SFE) is a beautiful 320-acre residential
tract in ponderosa pines. We’re a secluded, friendly community surrounded by national
forest lands and grazing meadows. It’s an ideal area for a weekend retreat or a
year-around residence.
Each property is a minimum of one acre. Approximately
two-thirds of the lots have homes built on them. The community is
under the jurisdiction of Coconino County and the State of Arizona for
community laws, zoning and construction regulations. (see related links - Coconino County).
The all-weather roads are maintained by the county. They are graded
routinely and plowed in the winter. The posted speed limit, 25 mph, is for the safety of the many
walkers and to keep the dust down.
There is a great sense of community here. Our annual standard events are:
- Pancake breakfasts on Memorial Day and Labor Day
weekends, a fundraising for the fire department.
- The Sherwood Forest Estates Property Owners Association
(SFE POA) annual meeting, usually on a Saturday closest to the Fourth of July.
All are invited and
welcomed to attend any of the many planned activities throughout the year.
Become a SFE Volunteer with the Fire
Department, the Auxiliary or the SFE POA .
